Congressman Danny passes the baton to new generation leader of Real Men Charities, Inc. and Real Men Cook for Charity® Vice President, Rael Jackson as NBC Sports Anchor Daryl Hawks, Kofi Moyo co-founder of Real Men Cook, Karriem Beyah owner of Farmer’s Best Market and Dr. Damon Arnold the Director of Illinois Department of Public Health who served as host of the Real Men Cook Health & Wellness Pavilion. Real Men Cook is funded in part through a grant from the Illinois Department of Public Health Center for Minority Health.
Yvette Moyo, credited for changing the way Father’s Day is celebrated by co-creating Real Men Cook for Charity®,
is saluted by Rev. Jesse Jackson and Governor Pat Quinn along with one of 500 – 1000 volunteer cooks in several
cities who donate their financial and creative resources each Fathers Day to participate in Real Men Cook. It is a for
a day of food tasting and entertainment where men give up Father’s Day pampering to help build healthier families and communities at Real Men Cook. Proceeds from the 2009 event in Chicago will exceed $10,000 in Chicago and total over $1 million to nonprofits since the inception of Real Men Cook, celebrating 20 years on Father’s Day 2009.
