Real Men Charities, Inc. the nonprofit, presents the Real Men Cook with Kids® programming and has since 2004, the year Al Roker featured our men from Real Men Cook volunteering to introduce children to fruits and vegetables. Our association with Healthy Schools started in 2007 and in 2010 we were part of the launch of Let's Move!, a campaign to reduce childhood obesity and to increase physical activity for children and families. In 2011 we continued our health and nutrition efforts and extended our involvement with children in the schools and with Chef's in Classrooms, a program created by Healthy Schools and with Cooking with Kids and TV programming featuring fathers preparing healthy meals for their children and families.

Real Men Cook Chefs Visit Chicago Schools in Response to First Lady Michelle Obama's Chefs "Let's Move" to Schools Initiative

We invite you to be part of Chef in the Classroom 2011. It's a program the men of Real Men Cook® have volunteered for working with Real Men Charities, Inc. and Healthy Schools!
Chef in the Classroom Day is April 5 2011. Chefs will bring cooking demonstrations, veggie tastings and healthy eating lessons to children at schools across Chicago. We received tremendous response from students and principals after our first effort where our men demonstrated healthy cooking, provided tastings and read to 500 children in CPS schools. We are part of the initiative serving urban schools in Chicago. After spending the morning in the classroom, chefs will join school principals at a special luncheon to discuss ways they can continue to support the schools' healthy eating and food education efforts.

Real Men Cook with Kids® programs to motivate children is eat more fruits and vegetables and understand the science, math, economics and the joy of cooking at home and serving. These programs were launched by Real Men Charities, Inc. in 2003 after years of managing the Real Men Cook Kid's Pavilion at the Father's Day events.
